DRA Levels for books in Pennsauken Free Public Library

There are many ways to determine a child's reading level. The School District of Pennsauken uses DRA levels. You can find your child's DRA level on their report card.

If you do not know your DRA level or the DRA level of a book you'd like to read, the "Five Finger Rule" is an excellent guideline.

Choose a book and read the first few pages.
Put a finger up for each word you don't know.
If five fingers go up, choose another book.
A two or three finger book is just right!
